Do you ever listen to an elderly neighbor talking to his/her pet?

It’s not considered eavesdropping if you mean no harm in doing so, is it? My neighbor likes to go to her back yard in the mornings and talk to her two cats. And they talk back. Sometimes she meows back at them, so I don’t get the whole conversation. They are right there near my back window of my computer room, so it’s hard to miss, really.
I’d rather hear this outside my window than most anything else I can think of.
